Here comes the Storm

Created for a personal project to promote diverse cultures within the worlds of fantasy and role-playing games.
I spent a great deal of time researching to ensure I didn’t make any mistakes in depicting the characters, taking virtual tours of museums and archaeological sites and watching numerous documentaries on Mesoamerican civilisations, so as not to misinterpret the objects I intended to use as references.
For example, I learnt that dwarves were considered to be close to the spiritual world and that animal masks were used in shamanic rituals, so I gave the dwarf the role of a shaman; the priestess of the Moon Goddess holds a rabbit, which is an attribute of the goddess Auilix; and I tried to depict the rain and war god Huracan as accurately as possible.
